Terms and Conditions
Bookings and Payment
Little Bees Nature playgroup is a stay and play group for children 11months-4 years. Babies under 11 months can attend for free when bookings are made for an older sibling. Please register your child online with our babies go free discount code. Discounts are also available for fee paying siblings over 11 months.
Full payment must be made upon booking a place. Your place is not secure unless payment has been received.
Cancellation
Illness – Please ensure that you and your child are well enough to attend.
Extreme weather – Sessions will be cancelled in the event of high winds, thunderstorms, and extreme snow. In these circumstances we will notify all those who have booked and offer an alternative date for the session. We will endeavour to give as much notice as possible should this be the case.
Upon booking ‘block sessions’, you understand that no refunds will be made if you cannot attend any or all the sessions.
Data Protection
Information and data provided during booking will comply with the Data Protection Act 1998. Information will not be sold, or any personal details disclosed to any other agencies.
Privacy Policy
No customer details will be shared with any third parties. Contact details will be saved to advise of any future events from Bee in a tree.
Adult Attendance
All children will be accompanied by at least one responsible person over 18 years old. All adults must adhere to our health and safety guidelines and follow the instructions of the Forest school leader.
Clothing
Adults will ensure they and their child/ren will be suitably dressed according to the weather. Layers are key, long sleeves and trousers to protect from scrapes and nettle stings; warm socks, wellies, hat, and scarf during winter is advised.
Sun Safety
All adults will ensure they provide suitable sun cream for themselves and their children during hot weather. Sun hats and a personal drink is also advised.
Photographs
During the session photographs and video footage may be taken of the children during activities. This will be used by Bee in a tree for promotional purposes such as social media pages, website, and advertising. Any images used for promotional purposes will contain no personal information. If you would rather no photographs to be taken of you or your child/ren please inform Bee in a tree upon arrival.
Risk Assessments
Taking part in forest school activities is conditional on individuals recognising that there are activities in which potential for harm exists, including personal injury. Participants accept these risks and agree to be responsible for their own actions.
All safety rules and procedures must be followed.
Any hazards found in/on the site must be reported to
A Forest School leader who will take all reasonable steps to ensure that every
participant is made aware of the hazard.
During the session children may be given the opportunity to work with appropriate hand tools and small fires. They may also be invited to cook and eat around the campfire. These activities will be risk assessed and led by a qualified forest school leader and first aider.
As a parent/carer of a child attending the session I have read, understand, and am satisfied with these activities and am happy for my child to take part.
First Aid
In the event of an injury, you agree to the Bee in a tree leader to administer the necessary first aid needed on yourself or your child/ren. You also agree to sign and document the accident/incident in the Bee in a tree accident book.
You must declare all medical conditions during registration and keep us up to date should this change.
Safeguarding
It is everyone’s responsibility to ensure safeguarding of children is kept paramount. Any suspicion of abuse will be correctly dealt with and reported to the police and social services.
Forest School is led by two members of Bee in a tree Forest School who have enhanced DBS clearance.
Toilets
Bee in a tree provides a composting toilet on site and baby change area. Please follow the signage located on the inside of the toilet door for correct usage.
